The Legislative Assembly of Ontario is the heart of democracy in the province—an independent, non-partisan institution serving the Members of Provincial Parliament and the people of Ontario. The Assembly provides the essential support and infrastructure that enable Members to carry out their legislative, oversight, and representative duties.

The Executive Director, Administrative Services Division, reports to the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly and serves as a key member of the senior leadership team. This pivotal role provides strategic vision, credibility, and operational leadership across a broad range of administrative functions. The Executive Director oversees Corporate and Administrative Services, including Finance, Human Resources, Purchasing and Operations, and business continuity, ensuring these services are modern, efficient, and aligned with the Assembly’s mandate to serve the people of Ontario and their elected Members of Provincial Parliament.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and trusted leader with a proven ability to modernize systems, and foster a high-performing, service-oriented culture. With a track record of leading transformation, the Executive Director will bring a strong appreciation for the Legislature’s unique work environment—serving as the cornerstone of representative democracy in Ontario—and will champion clear communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all service areas.

They will be adept at building strong, solution-focused partnerships with elected officials, senior leadership, and staff, while maintaining the professionalism and discretion essential to the Assembly’s work. A deep commitment to public service, accountability, and continuous improvement is vital, along with the ability to lead with integrity through periods of change, empower teams, and foster a culture of trust and collaboration. Demonstrated expertise in financial management, governance, strategic oversight, and human resources leadership is required. A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation and/or Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) or Executive (CHRE) designation would be considered a strong asset.

The Legislative Assembly of Ontario is proud to be an equal opportunity employer who champions diversity and inclusion. We foster an environment where unique perspectives are valued, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
