This Temporary Full Time Opportunity is available from May to August 2023. 

Keeping Ontario’s Legislative Assembly running smoothly takes many talented people, doing many different jobs—from camera operators and committee clerks, to purchasing officers and researchers. The Office of the Assembly is dedicated to serving Ontario’s Parliament.

Together, we provide non-partisan administrative and procedural services to all MPPs, as well as operational support for the daily activities of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The Information Services Branch provides services to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario by capturing, organizing, preserving and managing the information assets of the Assembly. We are currently seeking a Student Systems Analyst/Developer for the summer to support our Application Modernization Program.

What You’ll Do

You’ll act with integrity to:

  • Work as part of our Agile/Scrum development team to conduct testing.
  • Complete a research or software development project over the summer.
  • Exercise tact, diplomacy and good judgement in a politically sensitive environment.

You’ll support our collaboration as you:

  • Work closely with developers, designers, product owners and testers.
  • Provide daily feedback on your work.

How You Qualify

You demonstrate excellence through your:

  • Experience as a post-secondary student, must be enrolled full time in an accredited post-secondary program for the fall/winter term (September to March).
  • Knowledge of the tools, concepts and methodologies of software development particularly in PHP or Microsoft tools & services.
  • Accuracy and detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage your time.
  • Ability to be an effective communicator (written and verbal), work independently and be flexible and adaptable.
